Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights
Enjoy a guided trolley ride of Gatlinburg's spectacular Winter Magic lighting displays. Departure from Mass Transit/Trolley Center at Ripley's Aquarium Plaza. Tours leave nightly at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. beginning November 9 and run each Saturday in January.

From late November to February, visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic celebration, featuring one-of-a-kind LED lighting displays along the famous Downtown Parkway and the timeless tales and carols of Winter Magic Tunes & Tales. New in 2018, Gatlinburg’s most festive season will now feature Winter Magic Snowmen.

Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade
Gatlinburg's Winterfest Celebration features the 38th Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade at 7:30 p.m. With millions of twinkling lights and more than 100 parade entries, Gatlinburg's Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade is the perfect way to get the holiday season off to an illuminating start! Enjoy lighted floats, marching bands, and giant helium balloons. Special appearance by Santa himself.

The parade route begins at Traffic Light No. 1A on Highway 321 and continues to Traffic Light No. 10 at the Parkway and Ski Mountain Road. Limited bleacher seating is available in front of the parking garage at Traffic Light No. 3. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to get a parking spot. Free parking is available at the Gatlinburg Park and Ride Lot located at the Spur Welcome Center at the entrance of Gatlinburg. Parking is also available at the Reagan Drive parking lot, the Aquarium parking lot and various additional parking lots in the downtown area.

Sevierville’s Christmas Parade
A traditional hometown parade with baton twirlers, pageant winners, marching bands and floats leading up to the appearance of the Grand Marshal – Santa Claus! Parade begins at 11am and can best be viewed on Forks of the River Parkway and Court Avenue in historic downtown Sevierville, TN.

Through the holiday season, visitors can meet characters and storytellers and enjoy caroling along the Parkway Friday and Saturday evenings during this annual event!

Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds, Cherokee, NC. Cherokee's traditional fireworks display to bring the New Year in with pyrote. Fireworks start at 10:45 p.m.

Gatlinburg's New Year's Eve Celebration
Gatlinburg welcomes the arrival of the New Year with a street party that begins around 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31. An estimated crowd of 40,000 revelers gather in the streets of downtown Gatlinburg. Then, at the stroke of midnight, the sky will light up with a fireworks and music show produced by Pyro Shows of Lafollette, TN. The event is free to the public and features music and free party favors. Performers from Hard Rock Cafe entertain the crowd along with Rich Bailey of Star 102.1 providing music in the streets. The entire city of Gatlinburg celebrates New Year's Eve in a big way with many restaurants and attractions offering special celebrations. Gatlinburg trolleys will run until 2 a.m.
